Dog Maple was raised by his cat sister Waffles.
The owners document on Instagram how this becomes noticeable in their four-legged friend's adulthood.
The seven-year-old polydactyl cat Waffles and her three-year-old dog sister Maple are real stars on
with almost 200,000 followers .
Together the two four-legged friends form the animal duo @thegoldenbreakfastclub.
As with Maple's dog breed - she is a Golden Retriever - the word "golden" can also refer to the coat color of the two pets.
Both the velvet paw and Goldie wear a gold-colored fur coat and thus create a golden overall picture - in the truest sense of the word.
“Breakfast Club” is a reference to the names of the two animals.
Nothing was left to chance when it came to naming it.
“Maple” means maple in German, while “Waffles” is translated into German as waffles.
Maple syrup and waffles are popular breakfast items in the United States.
