A notice from a DHL customer in Cologne is making waves on the Internet.
He makes a threat against the messenger - who may take revenge in his own way.
Cologne – Always trouble with the parcel services!
You can definitely get this impression if you browse the Internet and relevant Facebook groups.
But that's probably misleading.
Anyone who has a super nice and reliable delivery person rarely posts anything about it on the Internet (unless he warns about ticks), and the vast majority of people in this professional group are probably one of them.
Recently, someone unpacked online about his job, which only consciously redirected the packages to the branch for a single customer.
DHL customer hangs up salty complaint note
Someone who is not entirely happy with DHL has now apparently spoken out with an angry note.
A photograph of this ended up on Reddit.
There were more than 1,500 reactions via upvotes/downvotes and more than 200 comments in about a day.
The person who made the discovery explains to our editorial team that the photo was taken in Cologne-Neuehrenfeld.
Of course, this cannot be verified, nor can the authenticity of the whole thing, but there is nothing to indicate that it is a fake.
In addition, our editorial team says: “The door handle often has problems and the postman often finds himself in front of a locked door through no fault of his own, even though someone is at home.”
The DHL customer expressed his anger with this note.
However, the unknown author of the note ignores this alleged problem.
He is simply pissed off with the DHL parcel service.
And gives instructions: “Don’t ring my doorbell unless you have a package for me. If I’m not at home, try to leave my package with one of my neighbors.” What stinks to him, however: “Just the yellow piece of paper It seems easier for you to put it in the mailbox.”
Threat to the DHL courier: “If my complaint is not taken into account, I will take legal action against it”
He is obviously speaking or writing from experience when he complains: “If I open the door for you, but you are too lazy to do your work properly despite the elevator, I advise you to look for another job.” With the note alone He doesn't see it done - and wants to have already put forward his concerns.
“The complaint has already been made in writing,” it says, along with a threat: “If my complaint is not taken into account, I will take legal action against it.”
There is even a PS with an instruction: “Before you put a yellow note in the mailbox, you must have made 3 delivery attempts!” The not very kind DHL customer at least ends with “Best regards” and signs with a name.
He definitely deserves credit for not hiding behind anonymity.

Many find the DHL complaint unsympathetic
In the hundreds of comments, some people unfairly comment on the spelling (which we corrected in the quotes above).
Others focus more on the content.
“And all the neighbors will read this and will no longer accept packages for this person in the future.
Very nice, this warning,” says one.
One person summarizes what he reads from the note for hundreds of likes: “Above all: ‘Don’t you dare drop off the neighbors’ packages at my house.
On the other hand, you are welcome to impose mine on the neighbors.'”
Another user completely defends the delivery person: “If people seriously assume that the poor dudes and dudetes who have to deliver parcels for starvation wages with absolutely f***ed up and unreliable company cars have even the slightest amount of time and desire, “It’s such a nonsense to read… yes, then I have a tile from the Bernstein Room that I would like to get rid of – good price, good quality.”

By the way, there is another punchline that the person who came across the notice also reports.
On January 15th there was only the notice to admire; on January 17th there was a yellow DHL note with a smiley on it on the back.
Probably said by the delivery person: “Most people don’t have that lying around at home.
Of course you can’t say for sure.”
Users on Reddit also believe in a creative revenge by the DHL courier: “Lots of love for the delivery person who left the yellow note.” It is definitely a creative reaction – from whomever.
