From Pablo Picasso to Dolce and Gabbana, from Edvard Munch to Mike Bongiorno: there are around fifty exhibitions scheduled for 2024 at Palazzo Reale and in the other museums of the Municipality of Milan, basically one per week, confirming a varied offer in terms of quantity and quality , which attracts more and more audiences.
In 2023, visitors to the three exhibition venues and 11 civic museums increased by 39%, reaching almost 3 million 200 thousand.
Among the first exhibitions to open at Palazzo Reale, on 24 February, there will be 'Giuseppe De Nittis European artist' with 90 works by the author who also conquered Paris.
On the same days the Mudec will inaugurate 'Picasso.
The metamorphosis of the figure' while at Palazzo Reale in September it will be the turn of 'Picassolo stranger' created in collaboration with the Musée Picasso in Paris.
The relationship between Italy and France links many exhibitions in 2024. Palazzo Reale will in fact host an exhibition dedicated to the photographer Brassaï, who was 'The Paris Eye' and from March 'Cézanne and Renoir.

Also in April Palazzo Reale will be the venue for the exhibition 'From the heart to the hands.

Centenary exhibition also for Enrico Baj while Palazzo Realesi's year will close with an exhibition on Edvard Munch with works from the MunchMuseet in Oslo and one on Ugo Mulas.
The Mudec program includes a focus on tattooing.
And for contemporary art, from May Palazzo Reale will open its rooms to the performative reinterpretation of Guernica by Ettore Pignatelli and at Pac the protagonists will be Adrian Piper and Liliana Moro awaiting a solo show by Shirin Neshat in 2025.
Among the exhibitions at the Castello Sforzesco is the exhibition of materials from the "Ballo & Ballo" Photographic Studio Archive, acquired in 2022. And then again in 2025 at Palazzo Reale Felice Casorati will be the protagonists, and one hundred years after the Parisian exhibition 'the triumph of Art Déco' , and also Napoleon, Chaim Soutine and Leonor Fini.
