Will this year bring a career change?
At least many employees are longing for a new job, as a survey suggests.
Often it's because of the money.
Many employees in Germany are motivated to realign their careers.
This is indicated by a survey carried out by the market research institute Censuswide on behalf of the career platform
.
Accordingly, 71 percent of the approximately 1,000 respondents are considering changing jobs.

Skilled workers are still urgently needed, according to the communication on the
survey .
Accordingly, the majority of respondents were also optimistic: More than half (51 percent) believe that they will actually be able to find a new job this year and are confident about job interviews (54 percent).
Almost half would even leave their own comfort zone, as 48 percent are looking for positions that broaden their horizons.
Often the desire for more salary
As a reason for a possible change of employer, over a third of employees willing to change state that they want to make a larger jump in salary (36 percent).
This is followed by wishes for more flexibility (28 percent), a fresh start (26 percent) and more room for further development (23 percent).
Salary is often the decisive factor for the desire to change.

Finding a job is not always easy
But the path to a new job can become a stress test: almost half of those surveyed find the job search frustrating (44 percent) and feel stressed by the process (45 percent).
More than a third also have difficulty finding a job that meets their needs (39 percent).
But many also perceive the actual getting to know each other in the interview (24 percent) and salary negotiations (28 percent) as a challenge.
According to the information, 1,003 employees took part in the survey between November and December 2023.
