Since the beginning of the war, after the Hamas attack on 7 October, almost 20 thousand children have been born in the "hell" of Gaza.
The estimates come from the United Nations which speak of births in "incredible" conditions.
A spokeswoman for Unicef, Tess Ingram, returning from a recent visit to the Strip, described a dramatic situation with mothers bleeding to death and nurses forced to perform emergency caesarean sections on six dead women.
“Every 10 minutes a child is born in this horrendous war,” Ingram told reporters in Geneva via video link from Oman.
"Becoming a mother should be a moment of celebration.
In Gaza, it's another child consigned to hell: seeing newborns suffer, while some mothers bleed to death, should keep us all awake at night."
