The Russo family is back.
The series “Wizards of Waverly Place”, broadcast on Disney Channel between 2007 and 2013, will return soon, two of the main actors, Selena Gomez and David Henrie, have confirmed.
The 31-year-old American actress was revealed worldwide through this series.
Taking up the information published by the American magazine Deadline, Selena Gomez reacted in her Instagram story on Friday January 19.
She declared herself “so excited” at the idea of reuniting with her old playmates. Among them, actor David Henrie who plays her big brother Justin on screen.
For his part, he posted on Instagram a photo of the script for this new version of the series, the broadcast date of which is still unknown.

An intrigue around Justin Russo
According to Deadline, this new version of the series will revolve around the character of Justin Russo, and Selena Gomez, who plays Alex, will only have a secondary role.
The plot should start around an incident at WizTech, the magic school the family attended.
Justin Russo, now an adult, has given up his powers to lead a human life with his wife and two children.
But a very powerful young wizard will come and ask for his help to teach him magic, which will push the young man to reconnect with his past.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” tells the story of a New York family, the Russos.
The father, Jerry, is a wizard who chose to abandon his powers to marry a mortal, Theresa.
Together, they have three children: Justin, Alex and Max, who inherited their father's powers.
But as adults, only one of them will be able to retain the family's magical powers.
Their father therefore tries to teach them magic, and the children use it regularly, more or less wisely.
The series has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Children's Program three times, in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
