Investigators believe that the decomposed corpse, almost reduced to a skeletal state, found in the afternoon in a dilapidated farmhouse in the territory of Castelplanio, another municipality, belongs to Andreea Rabciuc, the 27-year-old who disappeared on 12 March 2022 in the Montecarotto area, in the Ancona area. but in an area that is less than a kilometer from where the girl was last sighted.
Consolidating this hypothesis are the remains of clothing found: a jacket and shoes, compatible with those worn by Andreea.
At dawn on March 12, the girl had walked away from a plot of land where she had spent the night in a caravan with her boyfriend Simone Gresti and a couple of friends.
At least this is the story told by the three of her: Andreea had gone along the Montecarottese road, leaving her cell phone with her boyfriend, after an argument.
But no one had seen her again.
Appeals via social media from her mother and friends, then various reports, including to 'Who has seen it?'
with alleged sightings in Rome or Milan, connections with her social profiles.
It all ended in nothing, like the hypothesis that a body found in a canal in Pigneto in Rome belonged to Andreea.
Many inspections were carried out over several months by the Carabinieri in the plot and in the surrounding areas, on the orders of the prosecutor of the Ancona Prosecutor's Office, Irene Bilotta, who had opened a file on the disappearance, leading to Gresti being investigated for kidnapping and drug dealing. .
Scientific police investigations were also carried out in the caravan by the Ris carabinieri.
Bilotta went to the location of the discovery.
The lawyer Emanuele Giuliani, Gresti's lawyer, was also there.
The owner of the farmhouse, which was ruined but closed, discovered the remains.
However, the body was found in a part of the ground floor, where the windows had been broken.
In addition to the carabinieri, the firefighters also had to intervene to secure that portion of the building and allow the forensic investigations which will continue until late at night.
For official identification, a DNA test will be necessary.
But many questions remain.
The main one: is it possible that no one ever went to search that farmhouse, a building located on the same side of the Montecarottese road where Andreea was on the night between 11 and 12 March?
Or perhaps the body was brought to a time after these checks?
Questions that we will probably try to answer.
