"We can't waste time because the situation is really serious."
Thus, in Matera, on the sidelines of a visit to the Mermec (formerly Ferrosud) plant, the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, responded to a question from journalists about the former Ilva of Taranto.
Referring to a letter sent by Mittal to the government, Urso said that "we have duly activated the procedures, given the situation in the field also with regards to the supply of the plants. "We cannot waste time - the minister reiterated - and we have the duty to intervene to restart maintenance of difficult and strategic plants immediately, and we must guarantee the safety of workers", he concluded.
