The city of Tel Aviv leads the list of the leading cities in Israel in terms of the number of construction starts recorded in the first three quarters of 2023. This is according to an analysis of the recently published CBS data. 4,342 new apartments began to be built non-stop in the city during this period, a figure that indicates an estimated annual rate of approx. 5,800 housing units. This, compared to 4,519 apartments that began to be built there in the whole of 2022.



Also according to the CBS, on a national level, from January to the end of September 2023, about 46,700 new apartments began to be built (an estimated annual rate of about 62.3 thousand), a decrease compared to approximately 67.7 thousand construction starts in the entire year of 2022. Apart from Tel Aviv which leads the list as mentioned above, the leading cities are Jerusalem, Bat Yam, Yosh, Rishon Lezion, Ashkelon, Lod, Ashdod, Ra'anana and Netanya



. Because in Tel Aviv, 1,419 apartments with 4 rooms, 1,357 apartments with 3 rooms, 807 apartments with 5 rooms, 678 apartments with 1-2 rooms and 81 apartments with 6 rooms and more began to be built.

According to Yaffe Sadan, the vice president of marketing and sales at the Yossi Abrahami Group, which is building several projects in Tel Aviv, "Construction volumes in Tel Aviv are rising contrary to the national trend, and it shows consistent growth from quarter to quarter.
