The fastest cake in the world is most likely also the lightest.
Because with just six simple ingredients and no weighing at all, not much can go wrong.
If you spontaneously crave a piece of cake, the fastest cake in the world will probably come in handy.
Because here you don't have to stand in the kitchen for a long time, constantly looking for a lot of ingredients and fiddling with the kitchen scales.
Instead, six simple ingredients that you probably don't even need to buy separately are mixed together to create a simple but versatile batter.
The cake can also be customized to your personal taste with various additions and toppings.
Master basic recipes and then get creative
Whether baking or cooking, simple basic recipes are half the battle.
Because if you master the basics, you can build on them at any time.
For example, you can approach more complex cake recipes step by step with the basic recipe for a simple yeast dough and a fluffy sponge cake dough.
It is important to develop your skills in the kitchen over time.
The basic recipe can be baked wonderfully in a conventional springform pan.
Then cut the completely cooled cake in half and fill it with jam and cream, for example.

So if you want to “learn” how to bake cakes, don’t start straight away with a sophisticated motif cake.
Instead, start with a versatile miracle cake.
It will definitely work and can then be flavored according to your taste with various additives such as jam, chocolate, fresh fruit and a little whipped cream.
Ingredients for the fastest cake ever
For a cake from any baking pan:
4 cups of flour
1 packet of baking powder
2 cups sugar
1 cup of yogurt
1 cup of oil
4 eggs
Baking with the cup – this is how it works:
“Mug” here doesn’t mean a small espresso cup or a bulbous tea cup.
But just a yogurt cup.
After emptying the 150 to 200 gram yoghurt pot, it is rinsed briefly and then used uniformly for the dry and wet ingredients.
Alternatively, use a regular coffee mug with similar dimensions.

You baked the lightning cake so quickly and easily
While the oven is preheating to 180 °C top and bottom heat, first put the yoghurt in a small cereal bowl.
Now the empty cup can be briefly rinsed with a little water and used as a measuring unit.
Put the sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl and beat both into a fluffy cream.
In the next step, the yogurt and oil are stirred in.
Mix the flour with the baking powder in a separate mixing bowl and sift both into the liquid ingredients.
Stir in carefully to form a smooth cake batter.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan of your choice and place the cake in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes (depending on the height and width of your baking pan) until golden.
After the baking time, carry out the stick test.
If the dough still sticks to the wooden stick, put the cake in the oven for another five to ten minutes.
Then let it cool down and carefully remove it from the mold.
Decorate with either powdered sugar or icing.

To add some flavor to the regular sponge cake, we recommend replacing one cup of flour with one cup of ground nuts.
You can also stir in chocolate chips, sprinkles, cocoa powder and the like if you like.
For a fruity version, simply use some flavored yogurt and frozen berries.
