The 14th season of the successful science fiction-fantasy series "Doctor Who" hasn't even aired yet, but already last night (Saturday) a very big change was reported in it.
Millie Gibson, who plays the Doctor's companion in the season, has been dropped from the role and will be replaced by another actress.
According to reports in overseas entertainment websites, Gibson will be replaced by Varda Sathu, who is remembered for playing Sintha in the hit series "Endor", in the very next season of the old series.
The BBC, which broadcasts the show, did not comment on the matter, but Shuti Gitwe ("Sex Education"), who will play the doctor for at least the next two seasons, responded after the publications in a story he published on his Instagram account with a photo of himself next to Gibson, in which they are both dressed as their characters , when he wrote "My little one" next to emojis of a heart and the astrological sign of Gemini.

The report also indicates that the decision to replace Gibson was made by the director of the series, Russell T.
Davis, and that in addition to that she will also not participate in the special episode in Christmas 2024 (a very beloved tradition of the viewers of the series).
"Millie Gibson has left and now the Doctor has a new companion, which is very exciting," a source close to the show's production told the Daily Mirror.
"Russell continues to work on the series and doesn't let the grass grow."
A BBC source said: "Russell is simply amazed by Varda's talent. The cast and the series have welcomed her, and he's sure the fans have too."
There is already a trailer for the upcoming season:
