Alexey Navalny was sent to the punishment cell again, for the 25th time since August 2022, and at the end of the 10 days of isolation he will have spent 283 days in a cramped penalty cell in less than a year and a half: this was reported by the staff of the Russian opponent imprisoned for political reasons, quoted by the online newspaper Meduza.
It is the second time that Navalny has been sent to solitary confinement since he was transferred to the remote "LupoPolare" prison, above the Arctic Circle, in December.
The first time, echoing the language of the detention center officials, the dissident said he was sent to a punishment cell because he was accused of "refusing to show up according to the rules", "not responding to educational work" and "not drawing the necessary conclusions". .
Now the reason seems similar: according to his collaborators, Navalny was accused of "presenting himself incorrectly".
