European stock markets close higher with a view to the ECB meeting this Thursday.
Frankfurt gains 0.77% with the Dax at 16,683 points.
Paris also did well (+0.56% with the Cac 40 at 7,413 points), as did London (+0.35% with the Ftse 100 at 7,487 points).
Wall Street advances with the Dow Jones rising by 0.52% and exceeding 38,000 points for the first time.
The Nasdaq rises by 0.36% to 15,367.27 points while the S&P 500 makes progress by 0.34% to 4,856.19 points.
