The actor returns to the screen in the third and new season of the hit series, and knows who to thank: "The police were revealed to be Israel's heroes in the war" • On the abductees in Gaza: "We mustn't forget them for a moment, echo the fact that they need to be returned home"

The third season of "Manaich", the Kaan 11 police drama, will be broadcast tonight (Wednesday), and will be broadcast on Wednesdays and Saturdays on Kaan 11 and Kaan BOX.

In the upcoming season, the actor Amos Tamm will return to the character of Barak Harel, the corrupt and sophisticated station commander who manages to deceive almost everyone.

This season, Harel is in negotiations for the signing of an agreement with Medina, and is employed as an agent by Izzy Bakr (Shalom Assig). In the game the two play, the rules change again and again, the characters want revenge, and everything becomes very violent, complicated and dangerous.

"On October 7, we woke up to a new reality, an event that changed our DNA forever," says Tamm. "Everything we photographed before it was as if it had been photographed in a previous life.

Yesterday there was a screening for the team and families, and it was strange, accompanied by mixed emotions.

On the one hand soldiers are fighting in Gaza, and we have more than 130 abductees and families waiting for them, and I constantly think about it, and on the other hand - we must continue to live.

But we must not forget them for a moment, and yesterday at the screening we also mentioned it and talked about it.

I hope that the audience waiting for the third season will enjoy it, because it's crazy."

The police officers who are at the center of the series were revealed in our reality as heroes.

"I think about this, because in recent years I really dealt with the police, who were on the front line. It was easy to weaken them and talk about them, and their image was in a bad place - and in this war, the police officers were revealed as Israel's heroes. Dozens of police officers protected civilians with their bodies, and I dedicate this season to the officers of the Israel Police".

"The heart is torn"

"We also lost a team member, Matan Meir, our production man who was in the reserves in Gaza and was killed in the explosion of a tunnel shaft," adds Tamm.

"It's losing a friend, someone I've worked with for years, and this season is also dedicated to him. When you hear about the soldiers, your heart breaks, but when you know someone personally - it's even more painful and difficult.

"Also at Kamari, our stage manager Amir Abodi lost his nephew at the party. His sister who was at the party managed to escape, but her partner was kidnapped, so this thing is always around us.

"You can't really go on, but we are also commanded to go on. Not to forget for a moment, to echo the fact that we need to bring them home. We returned to the theater (a performance in the Chamber ended with the plays "Oedipus", "The Son of Moshiko the Great" and "Genius in a Cage"; M.K. ), the halls are full, people need air.

But even if the theater provides a break for a moment, when you leave - you return to the really important thing: the return of the kidnapped, the need to create a reality here that we can live in."

The rise of the series was accompanied by the Mona Hua storm.

"I am deeply hurt by this, shocked by this. When I read this I did not know my soul. We hear a lot about people who support Hamas in the world, universities in Europe or the US who do not recognize the reality here and just choose a side.

But when someone lives here and watched one of the most filmed terrorist attacks ever, who saw the horrors, the subhuman behavior - I don't understand how it can be supported."
