"Dad is hitting me and mom."
With this call to 112, a 17-year-old reported her father on the night between 25 and 26 December last in Casalgrande, in the ceramics area of Reggio Emilia.
The request for help came at the culmination of numerous abuses that the man allegedly carried out against his wife and minor children.
In particular, the 56-year-old raged against the woman, who in his opinion was guilty of cheating on him, with ever-verbal physical violence.
According to the carabinieri's reconstructions, he returned home drunk and, several times, mistreated her and insulted her in front of her children.
On Christmas night, then, he would spit in her face, then hit her with two slaps, pushing her window against her, causing her to hit her back, telling her "tell our daughters where you meet at night when you go to work ".
Then he also attacked her teenage daughter who intervened to defend her mother by hitting her with two slaps and a punch on the nose, causing wounds judged to be healable in nine days.
For the 56-year-old, under investigation for mistreatment in the family and aggravated personal injuries, the Reggio prosecutor's office also requested and obtained from the investigating judge the measure of the ban on approaching the victim and his children, from whom he will have to stay away at least 2,500 meters, with a ban on any form of communication.
The man was also fitted with an electronic bracelet.
