Stiftung Warentest has put dishwasher tablets to the test.
Classic products smear - but the test winner is also the most expensive product.
The main thing is clean, some consumers might think when using the dishwasher.
However, sometimes this is far from the truth and the dishwashing tabs used often have something to do with this.
As
Stiftung Warentest
shows in a current study (issue 2/24), there are big differences in cleaning staff.
And the tried and tested products are apparently no longer what they used to be.

The testers took a closer look at 13 so-called mono tabs.
If you use it, you must also add a rinse aid and regenerating salt to soften the water.
The results show that customers can make mistakes: they range from “good” to “poor”.

The test winner is an eco-friendly product – “Everdrop Dishwasher Tabs Classic” (overall grade 2.0).
The tabs performed particularly well in terms of cleaning performance and water pollution.
The Everdrop tabs received the EU Ecolabel after the start of the test.
Unfortunately, the product is also the most expensive in the test, costing 0.37 euros per rinse.
Comparatively cheap products such as “Alio Dish Cleaner Tabs Classic” from Aldi and “Denkmit Dish Cleaner Classic Tabs” were also rated “Good”, each costing 5 cents per wash cycle.
Dishwasher tabs from well-known manufacturers: No longer the best when it comes to cleaning
According to Stiftung Warentest,
the disappointments include
true classic products among dishwasher tablets.
The Somat brand has been one of the test winners several times, but in the current study “Somat Classic” came in last place.
According to the testers, the agent delivers a satisfactory cleaning result, but printed decorations on plates and glasses would be severely damaged - so the product received a “poor” rating.
According to the testers, the cleaning performance of the Finish Classic tabs also leaves a lot to be desired, which results in a “sufficient” rating.
