New spaces and new opening times to cope with the exponential growth of the salon.
Taste, the Pitti Immagine food and wine excellence fair, in its 17th edition, brings 660 companies to Florence, 150 of which are new.
From 3 to 5 February at the Fortezza da Basso there will be on display a sweet and savory Made in Italy ready to travel the world and conquer the most refined tables.
"Taste continues to grow, but not only in quantitative terms - comments Agostino Poletto, general director of Pitti Immagine. - In 17 editions, the number of companies presented has obviously increased, but the increasingly numerous requests to participate in the fair are selected in accurate manner through the narrow meshes of quality".
The collaboration continues with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ice Agency for a strategy of internationalization and promotion of the Italian industry, and with Unicredit, which during 2023 "supported Italian agri-food companies also with disbursements of over 1 billion and 400 million euros", as the banking institution explains in a note.
Colors are the guiding theme of the show, also animated by the novelty of Giannoni & Santoni: a collection of domestic chicken coops designed by the artistic duo Vedovamazzei.
Regarding the spaces, the show will involve the Ghiaia pavilion and the area dedicated to Spirits will be expanded (24 labels).
Coldiretti will also be there, with a special space for events including a masterclass dedicated to oil.
First participation then for Confagricoltura with two meetings on financing and consumption (in collaboration with Nomisma).
Among the events, one is dedicated to the importance of fermentation in food, one on wine in amphora, and then on the colors in food and the production chain between tradition and innovation.
There are also many events at Fuori di Taste, including 'Pieve di Campoli....all'Opera!', a cultural and food and wine itinerary organized by the wine and oil company of the diocesan institute for the support of the clergy (IDSC), Pieve di Campoli, with visit and tasting at the Florence Cathedral museum by invitation.
