Environmental activists poured soup on the armored glass protecting the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Two women have crossed the barrier that protects the most famous painting in the world after throwing the contents of the envelopes they were carrying against the transparent protection.
The two militants wore a t-shirt with the words "Food Response".
One shouted "What's more important?", the other "Our agricultural system is sick".
Both, after repeatedly shouting their sentences, raised their right hands, while the Louvre workers asked those present to evacuate.
At the same time, black panels were brought in which - a few seconds after the action - covered the scene from the view of those present, cameras and cell phones who were trying to immortalize it.
