Eight million euros in losses per month.
These are the consequences for the FS group since the Milan-Paris railway line was suspended last August due to the closure of the Frejus tunnel on the French side due to the landslide in the Maurienne valley.
"This is 5 million losses per month for the freight sector and 3 million for the passenger sector (AV) for a total of 8 million losses per month, equal to 40 million losses in the last five months".
The Chief International Officer of FS, Carlo Palasciano, said this to journalists on the sidelines of an event.
For the freight sector, the FS group has quantified a lack of circulation of 376 trains per month.
As for the passenger side, the Frecciarossa Milan-Paris operated four connections a day.
