The hypothesis of the national collective agreement for general medicine and continuity of care 2019-2021 has been signed.
This was announced by Domenico Proietti, general secretary of Uil-Fpl, underlining that it is an "important agreement which affects around 40,000 general practitioners and over 10,000 MdCA (former medical guard), which has expired 6 years ago".
The agreement, states Proietti, which comes after two years of work, "is an important result and provides for contractual increases of 3.78% with the related arrears and greater protections on maternity regulations".
"After the renewal of all the national employment contracts of the Medical Area of the NHS, Uil-Fpl is committed to giving continuity to the bargaining by asking for the opening of the table for subsequent renewals, with the aim - concludes the union leader - to innovate the regulatory and economic aspects, enhancing the medical professions to improve the quality and effectiveness of our healthcare system".
