In December 2023, rates on bank mortgages to families will fall again after the peak in November when they reached the highest level since 2008. Already reported by the market and banking operators, the about-face which anticipates the ECB's future moves is now made official from data from the Bank of Italy according to which the rates on new mortgages in the last month of last year fell to 4.82% compared to 4.92 in the previous month.
Those on business loans also fell: to 5.46 percent compared to 5.59 in the previous month
