“The allegation made against the agency is so serious that it requires immediate action, which has been taken: not only the firing of the employees involved but the internal investigation, directed from New York. And I ask that the Israeli authorities cooperate with the investigation to provide the evidence for the charges".
This was stated by Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
