WindTre's Netco with the Swedish fund Eqt was stopped.
The transaction, announced on 12 May 2023 to establish a network company to provide integrated wholesale mobile and fixed communications services in Italy, and the sale of a 60% stake in that business to EQT Infrastructure "has been terminated due to failure compliance with the conditions precedent for closing by the agreed date of February 12th", announces CKHutchison, which controls WindTre.
CK Hutchison, however, "will continue to explore alternative infrastructure transactions to bring value to the company, including possible infrastructure transactions with EQT Infrastructure if an appropriate opportunity arises."
