You can celebrate Valentine's Day - or ignore it.

A hardware store was dedicated to fans of the last variant.

And gave them a tip on the way.

Munich – Valentine's Day on February 14th is considered the day of lovers.

From small presents to WhatsApp messages to the person you love, there are many ways to celebrate this day and reaffirm your love.

However, if you want to give flowers to your loved one, you will have to put up with increased prices.

But there are also people who have little interest in Valentine's Day.

A hardware store was probably also aware of this.

Forgot Valentine's Day?

Sign in Hornbach hardware store directs men to “Aisle 17”

A post appeared on X (formerly Twitter) that at first glance appeared to have been taken in a branch of the Hornbach hardware store chain.

A user posted the snapshot.

It was not entirely clear whether the picture was really taken in the Hornbach branch or whether it was a fake.

It also remained unclear when the photo was taken.

However, it caused some discussion because it showed a sign for Hornbach customers.

More precisely: for all male Hornbach customers.

“Important information for all men,” it said.

And further: “For everyone who thinks Valentine’s Day isn’t important, moving boxes are available in aisle 17.” The note was decorated with four black hearts.

Did the hardware store suspect that all men who hate Valentine's Day would face harsh consequences and that their refusal on Valentine's Day would have sealed the end of their relationship?

“If Valentine’s Day is a criterion in a relationship, I’ve never had one.”

It didn't take long for the comments under the tweet to arrive.

“If Valentine's Day is a criterion in a relationship, I've never had one,” said one user dryly.

“Never had the nerve for such 'trendy' things,” it continues.

The author of the tweet responded amusedly with the sentence: “A real womanizer.”

Another user commented: "I always had my own suitcase ready and good friends who helped me move." If he was serious, he probably had bad luck with past relationships several times.

But he left it open whether Valentine's Day was the decisive factor in the failure each time.

“I quickly got an assortment of screws for my loved one,” joked another about the Hornbach sign.

“Nothing beats solid boxes,” it was said elsewhere.
