Israeli President IsaacHerzog secretly met with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammedbin Abdulrahman al-Thani on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference to discuss negotiations on the release of hostages in Gaza: Axios reports, citing two sources familiar with the meeting.
So far most of the contacts between Qatar and Israel since the Hamas attack on October 7 have been led by Mossad chief David Barnea.
Herzog took with him to Munich some of the hostages released in the previous agreement and the families of those still detained in Gaza, writes Axios.
