"In recent months, the first signs of a decrease in market rates have been appearing compared to the previous maximum values".
This is underlined by the monthly report from the Abi, the association of Italian banks.
On loans, rates are decreasing, for the purchase of homes it drops to 3.99% in January, compared to 4.42% in December 2023 and from 4.50% in November 2023;
the average rate on new business financing operations fell in January 2024 to 5.39% from 5.46% in December and 5.59% in November; the average rate on total loans remained unchanged, which in January was 4.76% ,same value as December and November.
