The increase in the number of employees concerns in particular companies with minority shareholdings (shares up to 20%), which have partially recovered the losses suffered in the previous period (+3.9% compared to 2020; -7.8% compared to 2019) .


    Of the 7,808 economic units with public participation, 5,697 are active companies operating in the industrial and service sectors.

These units absorb 95.8% of the employees of the participated units and compared to 2020 they increased by 1.3% and 2.0%, respectively in terms of units and employees.

There are 1,890 agricultural businesses, non-profit institutions and public institutions, 34 unclassified units and 187 non-active economic units that have presented a single balance sheet.
