A 20-year-old American student was raped last night in the parking lot of a supermarket near a club in Via Valtellina in Milan.
A young man was arrested practically red-handed by the Flying Squad officers after being detained by the venue's security staff, alerted by some passers-by.
The arrested person is a student.
According to what was reconstructed by investigators, the girl and her attacker had met in the evening inside the Alcatraz nightclub and had had a few drinks together.
They left the club and, in the parking lot of a nearby supermarket, the violence occurred.
However, the victim managed to attract attention by screaming and some passers-by alerted the security personnel who blocked the young man, who had no criminal record, until the police arrived and arrested him on charges of sexual assault.
The girl was taken to the Mangiagalli Clinic where the abuse was discovered.
