At first glance you can see three four-legged friends.
But is that really true?
For most dogs, cuddling with their humans or lying side by side with other dogs is very important.
Physical contact represents affection, security, safety and togetherness.
When you cuddle, the bonding and feel-good hormone oxytocin is released - it increases the feeling of trust and reduces stress.
If four-legged friends grow up together in a household, they learn from an early age that extensive cuddles make them more balanced and contented, and later in adulthood they have no problem with closeness.

Owner Imogen Carr's dogs are also big fans of it.
Although they have plenty of sleeping space and dog beds available, they prefer to lie together on a chair.
“They just love to cuddle,” she says in a video on TikTok.
It shows her black dogs nestling together and lying wildly on top of and under each other.
She asks: “How many Labradors do you see?” Well, do you think so?
