Fifty people were arrested in the Iranian province of West Azerbaijan on charges of having called on the population not to vote in the parliamentary elections scheduled for tomorrow in Iran.
This was announced by the head of the provincial police, Rahim Jahanbakhsh, making it known that those arrested are administrators of some pages on social media and are accused of "disturbing public opinion and encouraging the people to abstain from the elections", as reported by Hrana, the agency for human rights activists in Iran.
