Students who attack a teacher, a head teacher or a member of the school's administrative staff risk a fine of between 500 and 10 thousand euros.
The measure is foreseen, in fact, in an amendment submitted by the government to the Senate in the Culture Committee to the bill on the evaluation of student behavior.
The text provides that in the event of conviction for crimes against school staff within or because of their duties "it is always ordered" in addition to the payment of damages, "a sum of between 500 and 10 thousand euros" as "pecuniary compensation" for "the educational institution to which the offended person belongs".
