In the former Ilva decree "during the conversion, a series of amending proposals were approved which have implemented the requests that have come to us from the related industries in these weeks of discussion and listening to their needs. In particular, the access parameters have been revised to the Guarantee Fund and the Puglia Region's request to release portions of the restricted administration surplus for further financing in favor of companies in the supply chain was accepted".
This was declared by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, after the conclusion of the voting on the amendments to the former Ilva decree in the Industry Committee of the Senate.
"I would like to thank the senators and all the political forces who collaborated to strengthen the measures to support the Italian steelworks supply chain, the companies and workers in the related industries. This marks an important stage in the country's industrial policy. We are all aware that this is the only path, certainly difficult but absolutely necessary, to relaunch the most significant steel site in Italy, whose activity was the foundation of our country's industry", he continues.
"The climate that I found in Taranto, of sharing and responsibility, encourages us to continue to guarantee the fundamental right to health, in a context of ecological conversion, while at the same time protecting workers and the production chains of a strategic asset of our system productive", says Urso.
