When the weekend comes around the corner, and the exhaustion of the crowded metro and the gray weather reaches its peak, Parisians dream of only one thing: escaping the capital.
A luxury reserved for residents with vehicles?
No way.
Le Parisien draws up a list of the best French cities to spend a weekend as a pedestrian.
We might as well announce it from the outset, we should not expect to see small towns at the top of the ranking.
“The essential element when you don't have a car is to be able to be mobile.
Overall, large metropolises are organized to allow fluid mobility without a car,” explains Didier Arino, associate general director at the Protourisme firm.
