During the search and sweep operations in the desert of Palmyra, the competent authorities found a complete artifact representing a huge, delicately carved funeral bed weighing more than 1,000 kilograms.
The curator of the Homs Archaeological Museum told Baba Al-Ali in a statement to SANA reporter that this important artifact “represents a funerary bed of white limestone decorated with breathtaking ornamentation. The head of the League, pointing out that this funerary bed, which is about two meters long and one meter high dates back to the prosperity of the city of Palmyra in the second and third centuries AD.
