During a video call with military forces stationed overseas, on Wednesday night, the US president said he was "still working" on a gift when asked what he had bought for her. However, he said he brought her a "very pretty card". He added: "There is not much time left, but some time remains."
Trump is staying in his private residence in Mar a Lago, Florida, and wished troops deployed in Afghanistan, Kuwait, a ship in the Gulf of Eden, and bases in Missouri and Alaska, "Merry Christmas." He praised their efforts over the past year against the Islamic State (ISIS) and the assassination of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
