Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Georg Riesch emphasized his demand that the state forests and the Free State pay the personnel costs for the Walchensee rangers, who are to be discontinued this year.
"Why should the general public pay for something that is actually a matter for the state forests?" Asked the Free Voters' Council, Riesch.
In the Jachenau corridor alone, the Free State is the property owner along the banks of the Walchensee for a distance of 15 kilometers. And according to Riesch's verdict, the state manages these areas exclusively for profit: "They earn good money there." Riesch accused the forest company of "sorting out all the good wood immediately and leaving the windfall behind". No consideration is given to a topic such as species protection. In addition, the state enterprise also earns from the water rights for energy generation around the Walchensee, while "the municipalities have no added value here".
Anger speech in the municipal council due to toll and parking situation
Riesch also criticized once again that, in his view, the state forests would insufficiently implement the measures from the Walchensee concept. “The only point they are about to implement is to increase the toll. For everything else, it says: 'Look a little.' ”
As reported, the toll stations at both ends of the Süduferstraße are to be relocated towards the lake. In addition, alternative parking spaces are also to be created. Forest manager Rudolf Plochmann had said, however, that the measure could no longer be implemented this year. The approval process could not be completed so quickly. In addition, the necessary tree felling is not allowed between March and October. But everything should be ready by the 2021 swimming season.
Riesch interpreted this delay differently: “With what we have developed, the forest brakes. If nothing happens now, that's a step back. "
District Council decides with a small majority rangers at Lake Walchensee
A formal application, as Riesch actually wanted to make it, was not necessary at all, said Wolfgang Krause, head of the district office. The district committee had already made a decision in December to request a share in the costs of the Walchensee rangers from the state forests. "We did that too - but with no satisfactory result," said Krause. "We have received the sober rejection that the state forests are unable to do so. But the last word has not yet been spoken. "
Support from Kochler Mayor Thomas Holz
Riesch was backed by his Kochler counterpart Thomas Holz (CSU). "This example shows that two active but small communities need the support of the district," he said. He was glad that the municipalities had a direct contact in the state government with State Secretary Gerhard Eck for the Walchensee concept. During the implementation, "something must happen quickly," the Kochler city council chief also said. "We already had three Saturdays this year, when we no longer knew where the front and back of the traffic was."
