Na'amat chairman Hagit Farr (Monday), following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement, said that daycare centers will not open on Sunday as of now. Farr emphasized: "We have not received any outline from the Ministry of Health and will not risk toddlers' lives in opening dormitories that are not prepared for the Corona routine. '.

The chairman of Na'mat explained in her remarks: "With one hand, the ministers decide to return to the dormitory, with the other hand waving us, the parents and the toddlers. Until this moment, the Ministry of Health has not given us, the dormitory operators, any outline for a return to activities under the Corona routine. We do not intend to endanger the toddlers or caregivers back to work that would endanger their lives. We also do not intend to return without a clear budget outline that will keep the dorms from a near economic collapse. "

Farr added: "We did not wait for the government and two weeks ago we submitted a clear outline of our own, which addresses and offers solutions to the various health and budget issues. Until now, we have heard nothing from the Ministry of Health and have not signed an outline with the Finance Ministry. Our responsibility is to return the dormitory as soon as possible. "Let the parents work, but not at the expense of the toddler's health. I'm heading to the Ministry of Health at the last minute, talk to us now to open a safe dormitory in the first place."

Recall that the opening of supervised and subsidized daycare centers, with about 130,000 toddlers, could be postponed due to the two main issues. The first is that the Ministry of Health has not yet approved the layout of the dormitory, and according to factors involved in the details, there are many conditions that cannot currently be met, such as redistributing groups to smaller groups, adding therapists, more services cells and more.

The second issue concerns daycare operators themselves, who claim to be unprepared to open them and also demand compensation for the period when they did not work. Daycare operators, including NAMAT, the community center, Faith, Naot Margalit, and others, are threatening not to open the dorm without compensation from the state in March and April.
