When someone calls a woman "slut" what do they mean by that?
Stör: First of all, the term has a negative meaning: a dissolute woman. But in a certain context, Luder can also be a recognition.
For example?
Stör: A woman wins at Schafkopf: "The Luada wins the Solo without four waiter!" That means she is a cunning person.
Lately a lot has been heard from "boxing" and "party girls". Women who get hold of prominent men with their charms ...
Stör: In this context the word has an additional component, that of "hooker" or "whore". But that is more of the "RTL" language and not dialect.
The teacher says he used the term as a "warmer and more harmless" term for beast.
Stör: Then it's a swear word, but it doesn't mean "whore".
Can the students feel offended?
Sturgeon: Insulted, but not sexually offended. But it would be important to know the bigger picture.
Does it depend on whether the teacher said "Luder" or "Luada"?
Stör: If he says he meant the Bavarian word, he must have said "Luada". Then an anecdote occurs to me: In the series Könglich-Bayerisches Amtsgericht a woman, played by Erni Singerl, sued someone for insulting. In front of the judge she says: "Know & lsquo; S, Mr. Richter,, blede Kua & lsquo ;, des sogt ma ollwei mol, but know & lsquo; S, as the g & lsquo; said? With ö!"
Then such conflicts are also the result of the fact that hardly any Munich pupil still understands dialect?
Stör: Yes, the students were systematically stripped of the dialect. But the teacher can't do anything for that.
Should a teacher who knows that his students speak no dialect, avoid ambiguous words like "slut"?
Stör: (laughs) "Everyone likes to speak the language they are brought up in": That is a Middle High German wisdom from Hugo von Trimberg.
