We too joined the festival with an easy and simple pizza pastry to make, and with a twist, literally!
List of ingredients for one pizza:
1/2 cup yeast dough, rolled and cooled
1 cup smooth tomato sauce
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Dry oregano
Dry chili
1 beaten egg
Preparation:
Cut from the dough two identical circles about 24 cm in diameter.
Place one circle on a baking sheet with baking paper.
Spread the sauce over the dough, sprinkle with the cheese and season to taste.
Cover with the extra dough circle and tighten slightly.
Place an inverted cup in the center of the circle to mark the center.
The edges of the cup begin to cut the dough, like rays of the sun.
Rotate each truncated triangle formed around itself to the right.
Repeat with all the "rays of the sun".
Grease with beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven over medium / high heat, about 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Serve hot!
