Strasbourg city hall maintains the subsidy for the mosque

Monday, March 22, the environmental majority had triggered a tornado by accepting the principle of a subsidy for the construction of "the largest mosque in Europe".


Strasbourg town hall seems to want to go all the way.

Visibly insensitive to the intense controversy that accompanied its decision to subsidize the construction of the Eyyub Sultan mosque to the tune of 2.5 million euros, she transmitted, this Monday, the deliberation of the municipal council to the prefecture of Bas -Rhin, for a legality check.

Josiane Chevalier, the prefect of Bas-Rhin, now has two months to submit this decision to the administrative court, as she had announced, two days after the vote at the town hall, at the request of Gerald Darmanin.
