Seine-Saint-Denis: an elected representative of Bagnolet accused of having received money against social housing

Karamoko Sissoko, 39 years old and city councilor, appeared on Friday April 2 for “corruption” and “influence peddling”.

, Karamoko Sissoko, socialist municipal councilor of the town hall, is accused of having accepted money in exchange for the granting of social housing.

He would have received twice 2,000 euros from two women in recent months.

The elected representative of the Est Ensemble territory, in charge of youth and sports until July 2020, was arrested on Thursday, April 1.

He was heard in immediate appearance Friday, April 2 at the Bobigny Criminal Court for "

corruption

" and "

influence peddling

".

He requested a postponement of the hearing, set for June 18, to prepare his defense.

According to the first elements of the investigation, carried out by the departmental service of the judicial police (SDPJ) of Seine-Saint-Denis, Karamoko Sissoko would have used the money to settle his debts.

He was denounced by one of the two women, who, having not found social housing, had felt cheated by the elected official.
