Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - The JU proposes the establishment of a district-owned company that takes care of digitization in schools, IT, and problems that arise and how to fix them.
At the most recent meeting of the district committee, it was unanimously decided to start examining such a business start-up.
As an example of what such a company could look like, the JU cited the district of Traunstein, which founded Chiemgau GmbH last year.
This offers a uniform IT platform for all schools and the corresponding IT support services.
"This structure would also be an optimal solution for the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district," said JU district chief Josef Rohrmoser.
Schools need support in managing and maintaining IT
When it comes to the IT platform, the chairman of the CSU parliamentary group, Martin Bachhuber, is "not entirely happy that there are no Bavarian-wide regulations," he said at the meeting. “Everyone is muddling around.” District Administrator Josef Niedermaier had good news here. “There is just a little movement in the matter. In fact, a lot is happening at the Bayern-Schulcloud. ”Regardless of this, the schools urgently need support with the administration and support of the IT. According to the JU, this could also be offered by the new district company. “The company, which is to be located at the district office, could employ two or three computer professionals who take care of the IT and thus also all problems that arise at all schools in the district."For maintenance work or the elimination of IT problems, the company would, depending on the school, issue an invoice to the district or the municipalities, which" is a lot less than that of an external service provider, "said Rohrmoser in Traunstein.
Greens happy about CSU application
Green parliamentary group leader Klaus Koch thanked the CSU for the request.
“We always pushed it,” he said, recalling his own application to hire a kind of digital caretaker for the schools.
“From a school point of view, this is something that brings us a little further,” said Koch, who is also the director of the Marie-Luise-Schultze-Jahn School in Tölz.
FW parliamentary group spokesman Hubert Oberhauser was also able to support the application.
“It makes sense that this will be pursued further.” He suggested that the mayors of the 21 cities and municipalities should definitely be involved in further considerations.

The district office will now examine which requirements are necessary to found a district-owned company. A comparison of advantages and disadvantages should also be worked out, which contrasts the bundling of tasks in a separate company with the current variant of permanent positions in the district office. Interim results are to be presented in a mayor's service meeting, but also in the district school committee. JU boss Rohrmoser hopes that the subject will in any case "be pushed forward quickly".
