Fortunately, the head injuries do not seem to be as serious as initially feared: Despite a laceration and cuts, the girl was approachable when she was taken away, says Anton Höfer, commander of the Steinhöring fire brigade and head of operations.

To be on the safe side, the rescue helicopter flew the young people out - also to quickly clarify possible internal injuries.

A first aider told the editorial staff on site that the girl was initially in great shock and was not responsive.

Other passengers had taken care of the victim until the rescue workers arrived.

The mother of the 14-year-old had also rushed to the scene of the accident.

The train driver of the “Filzenexpress”, a 40-year-old from Rott am Inn, also suffered a shock according to initial information from the accident site and was looked after by rescue workers and a rushed emergency manager from Deutsche Bahn.

The injured person is a woman who had tried to reach the departing train in the direction of Wasserburg (initially the message came that the train was in the direction of Munich).

She was caught by the train, which had already started moving.

After initial information from the scene of the accident, she suffered severe head injuries.

She is flown to a clinic by rescue helicopter.

People evacuated from the train

The fire brigade has cleared the train.

Around 20 people were evacuated and rescue workers supplied water on the platform.

The fire brigades Steinhöring and Ebersberg, as well as teams from the Red Cross and the police are in action.
