It is around one o'clock in the morning when a crew of police officers from the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) on patrol spots a gray Peugeot 206 driving at high speed.

He burns fires, drives more than 90 km / h in areas limited to 50, travels in the wrong direction, brushes pedestrians several times but categorically refuses to comply, ”
reports a police source.
Several other police crews were mobilized while the Peugeot and its four occupants crossed Saint-Denis, then Épinay-sur-Seine.

Ten minutes of racing later, the vehicle hit the edge of the road at the level of the quays of the Seine towards Saint-Ouen. The car, stolen three days earlier, was heavily damaged. The occupants then fled on foot. One of them is quickly apprehended by the police while the other three decide to dive into the Seine. But now, none of them can swim. "
Two managed to hang on to a lifeline, colleagues only had to fish them out, but the third was on the verge of drowning,
" said the same source. Finally, several agents take the plunge to come to the aid of the unfortunate man. The latter is brought back to the shore and immediately arrested.
All four were taken into custody at the Saint-Denis police station.

One was even under a search warrant in another case.
