A pickup car deteriorated on the Homs-Damascus detour road, near the Homs refinery, as a result of it skidding due to the leakage of diesel fuel from the fuel tank of a locomotive and trailer, which obstructed traffic at the site.
Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the branch operations room received a report about an accident on the Homs-Damascus international road near Homs refinery that led to the deterioration of a car outside the road due to the presence of diesel fuel on the road leaking from a truck fuel tank, and immediately moved The members of the branch arrived at the place and worked in cooperation with the traffic police and the Homs firefighting brigade to tow the deteriorated car, remove the traces of diesel fuel on the road, secure it and reopen it to traffic, pointing out that the damages were limited to material.
Earlier today, a person was injured in a traffic accident on the Homs-Damascus road.
