The Riedmeir family recently opened their farm shop - with all kinds of products "made in Deutenhausen".
From now on, regional and fresh products can be bought directly from the producer.

– Bright sunshine and many guests recently accompanied the opening of Anita and Gottfried Riedmeir's new farm shop in Deutenhausen.
Neighbors, friends and co. toasted to good luck over food and drink.
With the possibility of buying directly from the producer and purchasing regional, seasonal and therefore fresh products when it comes to food, the farming family of five is in line with the trend.
In addition to the parents, the son Kilian should also join the business.
Regional quality at short distances
Gottfried Riedmeir explains that the decisive factor for going into direct marketing as a self-producer was the unprofitable selling prices to the intermediate trade.
At the moment it is above all the horrendous price for fertilizer that is causing the yield to shrink to an unacceptable minimum.
On the other hand, adds wife Anita, the consideration that it makes sense to rely on regional quality of short distances "on site" also played a role.
This saves a lot of energy and you can also remain largely self-sufficient.
In particular, one does not have to become dependent on uncertain imports when it comes to food.
Where this can lead becomes clear in a drastic way in the Ukraine war with gas and oil supplies from Russia.

Oil, potatoes, honey and co. from our own production
The extensive food range "made in Deutenhausen" includes, for example, rapeseed, sunflower and linseed oil from our own cultivation, various types of potatoes, honey from the farm's own bees (hives), vegetables, grain products and, more recently, free-range eggs.
The chickens live on the green field within sight of the farm sale in a so-called mobile stall, which is moved every two weeks.
So there is always fresh grass and sufficient exercise for the poultry that lays their eggs.
Fresh meat packages made to order
Piglet rearing is also part of the farm's own animal husbandry.
As a special service, the Riedmeirs offer the compilation of larger, mixed meat packages fresh from the slaughter by pre-order.
The product range is rounded off by other products from the region, such as spices, game or sausages.
The separate, newly built shop in the yard of the small family business is open daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
