A fire broke out at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal.
Around 3:00 a.m., it was reported that in an open-air parking lot of Container Terminal No. 1, multiple explosions were suddenly heard, accompanied by raging flames and bursts of thick smoke.
The sound of the explosion awakened residents in Kwai Fong and Lai King, who looked out from their windows and found that black smoke had covered the bridge deck of Route 3, and there were bursts of "𤓓 smell", and they all reported to the police.
After receiving the report, the fire department rushed to the scene and immediately opened the throat to give relief. It was initially found that at least 5 heavy goods vehicles were on fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire is still under control, and the cause of the fire will be investigated later.
