New regulation at the Isar-Loisach-Stadion in the Farchet district of Wolfratshausen: a maximum parking time applies with immediate effect.

Wolfratshausen – Crowded residential streets, athletes desperately looking for a parking space for their car and long-term parkers on public land: the parking situation in the Farchet district has often been a cause for criticism.

The municipality has now decided on a new regulation.

There is now a maximum parking time in the large public car park in the district, the area directly by the Isar-Loisach Stadium: cars may be parked there for a maximum of five hours.

Around 100 places are marked on the public area.

The new regulation has been in effect for a few days.

As the head of the town hall, Klaus Heilinglechner, explains when asked by our newspaper, the parking lot should again be available to athletes and visitors to the fairy tale forest.

"We have observed and received some reports that many residents who want to save an underground parking space are parking their cars on the parking spaces," he says.

The company that operates the sports facility also drew the city's attention to this situation.

With the parking duration now specified, "athletes can attend their games and tournaments," says the head of the town hall.

And the period of time is also appropriate for visitors to the adjoining amusement park: "Very few families with small children stay much longer." In addition, the EagleBurgmann company car park in the commercial area is available for Fairytale Forest visitors at the weekends.

From there the entrance can be reached after a short walk.

Traffic wardens are "very intense" on the road

Last year, some residents of the district of Farchet complained about the chaos in the park caused by the guests of the Fairytale Forest in the district, because they would be standing bumper to bumper in the surrounding streets.

As Heilinglechner emphasizes, the municipal traffic surveillance (KVÜ) is "very intensive" in the Farchet district, especially in the summer months, to punish parking violations.
