A biker caught a cyclist on the B470.

The fire brigade only has praise for the first responders - but the behavior of some road users makes them angry.

Hemhofen - On October 30th, a serious accident occurred on a federal highway in Central Franconia.

According to the fire department, two people were injured.

B470/Hemhofen: cyclists hit by bikers - first responders praised by the fire brigade

A cyclist wanted to cross the B470 when he was "hit with great force" by a motorcyclist who was overtaking, the emergency services wrote in a post on Facebook.

Both people were injured, some seriously.

The B470 was completely closed for around four hours.

The fire brigade praises the "extremely good care of the injured by first aiders who happened to be present." Among other things, a doctor, a firefighter, several paramedics and a police officer in plain clothes were on site.

Accident on B470: "Some other road users behave underground again"

"But where there is light, there is always shadow..." according to the fire brigade.

“The behavior of some other road users (albeit a few) was sometimes underground again.” Barriers or bans on driving through were ignored, and there were also discussions “whether you couldn’t get through there with a motorcycle”.

According to the fire brigade, the negative highlight was a motorcycle and a column of 3 cars "who wanted to use the parallel cycle path as a 'diversion to bypass the scene'." Such behavior made the fire brigade "angry and sometimes simply speechless."

"No appointment in the world can be so important"

“I was suddenly at the roadblock and in a hurry, but my thoughts were with those involved and like most people I drove via Heppstett.

No appointment in the world can be that important, folks," someone commented on the fire department's contribution.

A woman is also upset about the people “who, even in such situations, still bother the emergency services with their absurd 'but I have to get through it now' problem.

If their family members were lying there, would they react the same way?"

The police then “take care” of one or the other, the emergency services report in conclusion.
