In Plankstadt (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), a World War II bomb was successfully defused on Monday. The police reported in the evening that the 250-kilogram bomb could be rendered harmless by the explosive ordnance disposal service. The approximately 3500 residents who previously had to leave their homes were able to return to their homes.
